We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to join our team as a Baker Help.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about French baking and looking to learn the art of crafting exceptional breads and pastries while working in a friendly, fast-paced, and supportive environment.
Responsibilities:
As a Baker Help, you will:
- Assist bakers and pastry chefs with the preparation and production of various breads, pastries, and desserts.
- Measure and weigh ingredients according to recipes.
- Operate and maintain bakery equipment, including mixers, ovens, and proofers.
- Ensure that all products are made to the highest quality standards, following established recipes and techniques.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to strict sanitation and food safety guidelines.
- Help with packaging, labeling, and displaying products.
- Rotate products in the display case and assist in maintaining an attractive presentation.
- Participate in regular inventory counts and assist in maintaining adequate stock levels.
- Collaborate with the team to continuously improve processes, products, and customer satisfaction.
Requirements:
- Passion for baking, with an interest in French breads and pastries.
- Basic knowledge of baking techniques and ingredients.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to learn and grow within the company.
- Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
Previous experience in a bakery or professional kitchen is a plus, but not required.
Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
